• Venco’s latest and most advanced wheel. The Direct-drive, uses a state of the art motor and control system.

• The brushless, permanent magnet motor has a beautifully smooth power band that produces enormous amounts of torque, even at low speeds. The motor directly drives the wheel head, which minimises the number of rotating parts for maintenance free and smooth operation– no belts or pulleys.

• An inbuilt computer senses the actual amount of wheel-head power required and automatically varies the motor torque to hold the wheel-head, precisely, at the desired speed while potting.

• The Venco Direct-drive is the only potters wheel on the market with a ‘wireless’ foot-pedal.

• The remote controlled foot-pedal allows greater flexibility for the potter by removing the constraint of the electric cord running to the pedal. The pedal can be easily operated by foot, hand etc which is a significant feature for throwing large pieces. It also removes an obvious trip hazard from the studio. An easy clean touch-pad on the side of the wheel may also be used to control the speed if desired. An optional, conventional cabled, footpedal may also be used if so desired.
